Cut-to-Fit Aquarium Filter Foam — 5 Sheet Sizes

Cut-to-fit aquarium filter foam available in two thicknesses and five pad sizes.

This foam sheet can be trimmed to fit compatible filter compartments or used as part of a layered aquarium filtration setup. The porous material can trap suspended debris and also provides surface area where microorganisms may colonize during normal filter operation.

Aquarium features

• Cut-to-fit format — trim the sheet to match your filter compartment.
• Two thicknesses — 0.8 in / 2 cm and 1.0 in / 2.5 cm.
• Five pad sizes — from 11.8 × 15.7 in / 30 × 40 cm to 47.2 × 19.7 in / 120 × 50 cm.
• Reusable when appropriate — rinse according to your aquarium-maintenance routine and replace when the foam deteriorates.

How to use

Cut to the required dimensions and place it so water is directed through the foam rather than around it. Do not use soap or household cleaners on aquarium filter media. If you are preserving established biological filtration, avoid cleaning all mature media at the same time.

Important note

Filter foam is only one part of water-quality management. Appropriate filter capacity, maintenance, stocking, feeding and water testing remain important for each aquarium.
